In addition to its culinary uses, rice plays a significant role in cultural and religious practices, often symbolizing fertility, prosperity, and even spirituality in various societies. Its adaptability to different climates and growing conditions has made it a crucial food source for millions, contributing to its status as a fundamental crop in agriculture and a symbol of sustenance and cultural identity worldwide.

Ingredients:

Carolina type rice - Medium Grain Rice

Extra virgin olive oil - Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt - Yamas Salt

Butter (optional)

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a saucepan (1-2 tbsp.). Sauté the rice until it is completely covered by the olive oil and turns slightly golden. Add water in a ratio of 2/1 to the rice. Salt the contents of the pot and when bring to a boil, lower the heat and put the lid.

Let the rice absorb the water over low heat, opening every now and then so that it does not inflate and let the bubbles come out. When the bag absorbs the liquids: remove from the heat and add (optional) 1 tbsp. of butter for each cup of rice. Stir gently to make the rice fluffy and cover.

Serving:

Serve it with Giants Mediterranean Greek Beans and Greek Salad
